Step 8 - Add Type or Symbol
Now we can add something on top of this.  To keep the tutorial short we will just add a basic "+" using the plus key.  

Select a font, I used Arial Bold 30pt for this example.  Type a "+" right in the middle of the circle.  Move it around until it looks good to you.  Or you can CTRL+click the original shape and align controls on top to center it exactly.

Next double click the text layer so the Layer Style comes up.  Choose outer glow.  For the settings view the screenshot.
