Step 3 - Unifying the Imagery


After flattening all the artwork, I filled the blank spot with some colors like in traditional painting. I used the Eyedropper tool to select the bright red in the back of the scene and painted in some of the block. The darker red was then selected along with one of the default sponge brushes with the opacity and flow both pulled down to below 50% each. The Smudge Tool can be helpful too in blending the colors around.





A final detail I did to tie in the 2 images was to pull the yellow from the background that is now reflecting onto the madman back there and to put some onto Red Sonja up at the front. With the Lasso tool I drew some selections on the metallic pieces on her and filled them with the yellow. Hold shift while drawing selections to draw multiple ones.
