Step 2 - Gradient and the Polygonal Lasso
Now choose a background color and foreground color of different light and dark values. I've got some blues here. Click and drag with the gradient tool and fill the selection with the gradient.








Now on a new layer, with the Polygonal Lasso Tool click 3 times to create a triangle and proceed to fill the area with white.
