Step 5 - Flatten Layers and Brightness/Contrast
For what we're trying to achieve, we want the values to be a bit more contrasting. If you're happy with your work so far flatten the image in Layer>Flatten Image. Then go to Image>Adjustments>Brightness/Contrast. I pumped my brightness to about +50.
